I know this is a difficult time for all students. I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to answer your questions as quickly as possible. Some of you have already checked out of your rooms and I thank you for that, too.
The current COVID-19 situation is constantly changing with new developments. What does this mean for us? It means that there will be changes in how the University responds to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are changes from our last communication and there are now new updates I would like to share with you. It is important that they are followed through with full cooperation.
There are three groups affected by these new decisions.
At Home For Spring Break
If you are currently at home for spring break, please plan on staying home until further notice.
If you have specific items that you would like for us to ship to you, please send an email to email@example.com and someone will work with you to retrieve your belongings. Otherwise, your things will remain in your room until further discussion with you.
Elsewhere For Spring Break (Domestic or International)
If you are elsewhere for spring break, please plan on going home or elsewhere from your current location. We will help you arrange your travel from your location to your destination. To receive assistance for travel arrangements, please send an email to Davina Kwong-Yu, Director of Campus Business Development, in one of the following ways:
Voice Line: 202-651-5361
Google Hangouts: covid19.travel
Zoom Meeting: Will be shared upon appointment setup.

If you have specific items that you would like for us to ship to you, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will work with you to retrieve your belongings.
Currently On Campus And Will Check Out Soon
If you are still on campus and planned to check out this week or next week, you are now required to check out as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday, March 18. If you find yourself with not enough time to pack, please organize your belongings in one place in your room and we will pack for you.
The Athletics Department will have U-Haul trucks available to transport your belongings to storage spaces nearby. If you need assistance with transporting your belongings, please send an email to Victor Mansure at email@example.com.
Please know that your health and safety is very important to us. I know this is very tough for you and thank you for your cooperation as we navigate through this. We are in this together. #GallaudetSTRONG.
Stay safe, everyone.
