In addition to the policies and guidance below, please note that further guidance for specific programs and areas is being developed and will be distributed throughout the week and/or posted on this website.

Gallaudet University is continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus (Covid–19) pandemic. We are working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with DC Health, the District of Columbia health agency. We are following all CDC protocols for patients, and for any staff and medical students who may have been impacted. Your health and safety is our top priority.

As of April 20, only one person in the Gallaudet University community has tested positive for Covid-19. That individual is recovering.

We are prepared to take all the proper precautions to protect our community and make sure that everyone feels safe. In response to the continued spread of COVID-19, we have created new policies and practices based on the concept of social distancing.
